Doha, Qatar: A newborn and her mother have been safely repatriated to India after the baby was born at Hamad International Airport during the mother's transit through Doha. The Indian Embassy of Qatar announced this on social media on Friday, October 3, 2025, expressing satisfaction with the successful repatriation.

The Embassy extended gratitude to community organizations Punariani Qatar and Gujarati Sama for their support in facilitating the humanitarian mission. Punariani Qatar shared on its social media, “Safe repatriation of a newborn baby and mother back to Bharat. The baby was born at Doha Airport during a transit journey from Ahmedabad to Atlanta, USA - a rare and critical situation that required swift coordination and care."
