Indian-origin family of three dies after fall from London apartment block

London: An Indian-origin couple and their nine-year-old son died after falling from a high-rise apartment building in south London in a suspected murder-suicide, according to media reports. The incident occurred on May 27 at the Highpoint tower in Elephant and Castle, where the family lived on the 36th floor.

The victims were identified as Rakesh Pai (47), Aditi Paralkar (46), and their son Sid. Emergency services rushed to the scene after receiving reports of people falling from a height, but all three were pronounced dead despite efforts to revive them.

Reports said the child had been suffering from severe health issues since birth. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the tragedy, while an inquest is expected to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the deaths.
