Doha: M.E.S. Indian School observed World Environment Day on Thursday, June 4, 2026, across all sections of the school with a series of activities aimed at promoting environmental awareness among students. Members of the teaching faculty and administrative staff commemorated the occasion in green attire to underscore their support for environmental sustainability.

Principal Dr. Hameeda Kadar urged students to become responsible stewards of nature by adopting sustainable habits in their daily lives and actively contributing to the protection and preservation of the environment for future generations.

The Kindergarten Section marked the day with a special assembly followed by a role play titled "Tree Today, Breathe Tomorrow." KG1 students participated in a role play on "Save Earth," while KG2 students created thumb-print tree artwork.

The Junior Section conducted "The Green Squad – Environment Champions" assembly featuring speeches, skits, dance, and an environmental news bulletin.

Students also participated in awareness activities, a video presentation, and an Eco-Awareness Campaign. A cleanliness drive involving both boys and girls was conducted, while a sapling planting activity was carried out in the Boys' Section. Grade 6 students took part in a letter-writing competition on "A Letter from the Earth," while Grade 7 students participated in a collage-making competition on "Save Earth."

The programme was jointly organised by the Campus Care Force and Scouts & Guides under the coordination of Mr. Jency George, CCF In-charge, and Mr. Rajesh K.S., Scouts In-charge. The event was supported by a team of faculty members including Mr. Anwar K., Ms. Sumitha Nassar, Mr. Thomas Mathew, Ms. Anagha M., Mrs. Fency Pathrose, and Mr. Sudhir.
