United States President Donald Trump has announced that a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at ending the US-Israel conflict with Iran has been “largely negotiated”, with only the final stages of the agreement remaining.
Speaking
on Saturday, Trump said the proposed deal would include the reopening of the
Strait of Hormuz, a key global shipping route, and noted that the agreement is
still “subject to finalization” by negotiators from the United States, Iran and
several other countries involved in the discussions.
The
US president revealed that he held a high-level call with leaders and officials
from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Jordan, Egypt,
Turkiye and Bahrain regarding the ongoing negotiations.
Trump
also confirmed a separate conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu as diplomatic efforts continue to push for a ceasefire and regional
stability.
“Final
aspects and details of the Deal are currently being discussed, and will be
announced shortly,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
