Doha, Qatar: On Monday, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued Amiri Decision No. 9 of 2025, amending certain provisions of Amiri Decision No. 14 of 2024 regarding the formation of the National Planning Council.

The Decision stipulated that the National Planning Council shall be formed under the Presidency of the Prime Minister, with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs as Vice-President, and the membership of the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, the Minister of State for Energy Affairs, the Minister of Labour, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, the Minister of Municipality, the Minister of Education and Higher Education, the Minister of Commerce and Industry, and the Secretary-General of the National Planning Council.

Additionally, the President of the National Planning Council may add representatives from other concerned parties to members of the Council. This decision takes effect from the date of issuance and will be published in the official gazette.
