Doha: Qatar’s Government Communications Office (GCO) has cautioned residents about misleading messages circulating on WhatsApp that claim to provide links to shelter locations in the country.

Officials clarified that the message, which is being shared in the name of the Ministry of Interior, is not authentic. Authorities stressed that no official links related to shelter locations have been issued through such messages.

The GCO urged the public not to click on or forward these links and reminded residents to rely only on verified government platforms for accurate updates. People have also been encouraged to report suspicious messages and avoid spreading unconfirmed information.
