Doha, Qatar: LuLu Hypermarket Qatar, the region’s leading retail group, has contributed QR125,000 to Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) as part of its sixth annual ‘Shop & Donate’ campaign, reinforcing its long-standing support for breast cancer awareness and community welfare.

This year’s campaign encouraged shoppers to participate in social responsibility efforts by purchasing selected products at LuLu stores, with a portion of the proceeds directed to QCS. The initiative reflects LuLu’s ongoing commitment to promoting health awareness and supporting national causes.

The donation cheque was handed over by Shanavas Padiyath, Regional Director of LuLu Hypermarket Qatar, to Ammar al-Mashhadani, Public Relations Manager at QCS, during a ceremony at LuLu’s Regional Office in Doha.

Al-Mashhadani expressed gratitude for LuLu’s continuous support, noting that such partnerships are vital in enhancing QCS’s nationwide efforts in cancer prevention, early detection, patient support, and public education. QCS, a non-profit organisation, plays an essential role in offering medical, psychological, and social assistance to patients and their families, in addition to supporting research and professional development in the field of cancer.

Reaffirming LuLu’s commitment, Shanavas said, “This campaign reflects LuLu’s dedication to social responsibility and health awareness.
