Doha, Qatar: MES Indian School students delivered an exceptional performance at the “Keralam Nammude Keralam – Malayalam Quiz 2025 (Season 9),” organised by Millennium Kids, Doha–Qatar, as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations. The preliminary round saw enthusiastic participation from more than 1,000 students across 20 schools in Qatar, reflecting the growing interest in Malayalam language and culture.

MES
Indian School achieved remarkable success in the semifinals, with 14 students
(7 teams) from the Senior Category (Grades 9–12) and 18 students (9 teams) from
the Junior Category (Grades 5–8) qualifying among the top 25 teams in their
respective divisions. This strong representation highlighted the students’
preparation, language proficiency, and competitive spirit.
In
the final competition, the Junior Category team comprising Afina Faizal
(VIII-N) and Fathima Hanin (VIII-N) secured First Prize, demonstrating
outstanding mastery of Malayalam language and heritage. In the Senior Category,
Muhammed Razin Shahir (IX-C) and Muhammed Bashash (IX-C) claimed Third Prize
with an impressive performance. The award ceremony, held on December 5, 2025,
at the Indian Cultural Centre, was graced by Mrs. Bindu Nair, Second Secretary
(Education & Culture) at the Embassy of India, and Mr. C.V. Rapai, Director
of NORKA and Chairman of Malayalam Mission – Qatar Chapter, along with ICC
President Mr. Manikandan and other dignitaries.
Principal Dr.
Hameeda Kadr congratulated the students on their outstanding achievements,
emphasizing that their success was the result of dedicated training and the
unwavering support of the Malayalam Department. She especially appreciated the
efforts of Mrs. Bijily Mohanakumar, who coordinated and mentored the
participants, playing a key role in their remarkable results.
