Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry
(MoCI) has launched a nationwide field campaign to ensure car dealerships are
complying with consumer protection laws, particularly Circular No. 1 of 2025.
The move, announced on Tuesday through the Ministry's official social media
platforms, aims to strengthen transparency in advertising and promote consumer
awareness.

As
per the circular, all car dealerships are now required to install digital
display screens that clearly show the prices of spare parts and periodic
maintenance services. This step is part of the Ministry’s broader initiative to
educate consumers about their rights and ensure that businesses provide
accurate and accessible information on after-sales services.
The campaign follows recent enforcement action taken against Al Waha Company – Jetour. On Sunday, the MoCI announced a temporary closure of the company for violating Article (16) of Law No. (8) of 2008. The violations included the unavailability of spare parts and delays in after-sales services, highlighting the Ministry’s firm stance on upholding consumer rights in the automotive sector.
