The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has unveiled a new version of the Metrash App, integrating the latest technologies to provide a more user-friendly experience, according to Brigadier Jassim al-Buhashim al-Sayed, the Communications and Information Systems Director General.
The newly added features aim to streamline access to information and procedures, including services for profile management, authorization, and notifications. Among the enhancements are address management for document delivery, locations of various service centers, and passport scanning capabilities for visa issuance.
Additionally, the app now features new icons for issuing, reprinting, and sharing certificates, along with easy access to all security services. Specific services for GCC nationals, such as renewing and replacing lost or damaged Qatar IDs, have also been introduced.
The Metrash App was recognized in November with the Arab Government Excellence Award as the best Arab smart government app, highlighting its role in fostering innovation and digital development. Al-Sayed emphasized the Ministry's commitment to fully digitizing its services, ensuring time-saving and effortless transactions for users.
