Doha, Qatar: On Thursday, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, officially opened the 34th edition of the Doha International Book Fair (DIBF). 

This year's theme is "From Engraving to Writing" and will run until May 17 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).

The event was attended by a distinguished gathering of Their Excellencies, Sheikhs, Ministers, heads of diplomatic missions, senior officials, and guests. 

His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs toured the exhibition pavilions, which feature 522 publishing houses from 43 countries. He explored works presented by Qatari, Arab, and international publishers, and reviewed the latest publications and manuscripts from the Ministry of Culture and various participating cultural institutions.
