'Qatar Al Khair Camp' project launched to support Sudan’s displaced families

Qatar Charity has initiated a new humanitarian project to to provide relief for people displaced from the city of Al Fasher to the Al Dabba area in Sudan's Northern State. The Qatar Al Khair Camp project is supported by the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) and aims to provide shelter, food, water, and health and education services over a three-month period.


Othman Ahmed Othman, the Acting Governor of Northern State, lauded Qatar Charity's prompt and effective response to the escalating humanitarian crisis. He emphasized that the provision of food, shelter, and medical assistance would mitigate the initial hardships faced by displaced families amid a significant influx of people into the region.


Furthermore, he announced that local authorities have approved the establishment of the humanitarian camp to enable Qatar Charity to continue delivering relief and social services to those affected. The official commended Qatar's ongoing support for Sudan, highlighting Qatar Charity as a crucial partner in humanitarian and disaster relief efforts.
