Doha,
Qatar – Qatar Charity (QC) and Lulu Hypermarket Qatar have renewed their
strategic partnership for 2025, reinforcing their shared commitment to
humanitarian efforts, particularly during Ramadan. This collaboration
strengthens Lulu Hypermarket Qatar’s role in Qatar Charity’s Charity Partner
(CP) programme while amplifying the impact of the Ramadan initiative “Giving
Lives On” through the ‘Shop & Donate’ campaign. The initiative, launched by
Lulu Hypermarket Qatar, aims to engage the community in meaningful charitable
giving during the holy month.
Ramadan,
a time of generosity and unity, remains central to this renewed partnership as
both organizations work together to provide vital aid to those in need. Lulu
Hypermarket Qatar will utilize its extensive marketing platforms to raise
awareness about the Charity Partner programme, encouraging greater
participation from businesses and institutions. This initiative aligns with
Qatar Charity’s mission to extend essential support to vulnerable communities while
reinforcing Lulu Hypermarket Qatar’s dedication to corporate social
responsibility.
As
part of the Ramadan campaign, Lulu Hypermarket Qatar will contribute a
designated amount to Qatar Charity, including proceeds from the ‘Shop &
Donate’ initiative. This campaign features over 1,200 supermarket and
department store products, with a portion of sales dedicated to Qatar Charity’s
“Giving Lives On” drive. Through this initiative, both organizations ensure
that charitable contributions directly reach those in need, making a tangible
difference during the blessed month.
The
official signing ceremony took place at Qatar Charity’s headquarters in Lusail,
where Mr. Ahmad Yousef Fakhroo, Chief Marketing Officer at Qatar Charity, and
Shanavas Padiyath, Regional Manager of Lulu Hypermarket Qatar, formalized the
agreement. Speaking at the event, Fakhroo expressed his gratitude for Lulu
Hypermarket Qatar’s continued support, highlighting the importance of corporate
involvement in humanitarian efforts, particularly during Ramadan. He urged
companies across Qatar to dedicate part of their revenue to charitable causes,
fostering a culture of giving.
Shanavas Padiyath reiterated Lulu Hypermarket Qatar’s commitment to social responsibility, emphasizing the significance of supporting communities in need during Ramadan.
