Doha, Qatar: Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health has announced the temporary closure of a dental unit in a private sector health center, along with the suspension of professional licenses for several health practitioners due to their engagement in activities beyond their defined scope of practice.
This action is in violation of Law No. (2) of 1983 regarding the practice of the professions of medicine, dentistry, and surgery, and the regulations and policies governing the scopes of professional licenses.
Legal proceedings are underway against both the facility and the health practitioners involved in these infractions.
The Ministry's statement emphasizes that these measures are part of the control procedures implemented by the Department of Health Professions. Furthermore, the Ministry of Public Health reiterates that all health facilities within the country are required to adhere to established laws, regulations, and standards to ensure the safety of patients and the quality of services.
