Doha: The Ministry of Interior Qatar (MoI) has
warned motorists against producing excessive noise from vehicles, stating that
such actions disturb public peace and cause inconvenience to residents. The
ministry urged drivers to follow traffic rules and ensure their vehicles comply
with approved noise standards.
Authorities explained that vehicle noise levels
are measured in decibels (dB) based on standards set by the Qatar General
Organization for Standards and Metrology, which determines the permissible
noise limits for vehicles. Motorists are required to ensure their cars and
motorcycles meet these limits to avoid disturbing the public.
