Doha: Registration for the 20th Asian Medical Camp, organised for low-income residents from Asian countries, has closed, with around 3,000 people registering for the initiative. General Convener Noufal Paleri announced that selected participants will receive digital registration cards via WhatsApp.

The
camp is jointly organised by the Centre for Indian Community (CIC Qatar) and
the Indian Doctors Club, with the approval and cooperation of Qatar’s Primary
Health Care Corporation (PHCC), Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and the
Ministry of Public Health. Participants must bring their digital cards and
attend at the time specified on them, as medical examinations will be conducted
in different shifts.
The
camp will be held on Friday, October 30, from 6:30 am to 4 pm at Umm Al Seneem
Health Centre. Recognised as one of the largest medical camps in the GCC, the
initiative will also feature health awareness programmes and public training
sessions. The Qatar Red Crescent and the Qatar Diabetes Association will
participate, alongside professional organisations including United Nurses of
India Qatar, the Indian Pharmacists Association and the Indian Physiotherapy
Forum.
More
than 500 CIC volunteers, including men, women and students, will support the
camp by coordinating activities and assisting participants. The initiative aims
to provide medical services and promote health awareness among low-income
residents from India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and other Asian
countries living in Qatar.
