Grand Mall kicks off Christmas celebrations with 1,000kg cake mixing ceremony

Doha: Grand Mall Hypermarket has kicked off its Christmas and New Year celebrations with an elaborate cake mixing ceremony, bringing together festive spirit, tradition and community participation. The annual event marks the beginning of preparations for the Christmas season, with the traditional mixing of ingredients symbolising joy, togetherness and celebration.

Held at Grand Fresh Bakery inside Grand Mall Hypermarket in Asian Town, the ceremony involved mixing around 1,000 kilograms of ingredients for the preparation of Christmas cakes. A wide selection of dry fruits and premium ingredients, including ginger peel, candied fruit peel, walnuts, dried blackcurrants, golden raisins, dates, red cherries, tutti frutti and cashew nuts, were used in the preparation.

The Grand Christmas Cake Collection 2026 features a variety of festive treats, including 10 flavours of plum cakes and eight varieties of dry cakes. The cakes are prepared using carefully selected ingredients, natural colours and flavours, trans-fat-free fats and pharmagrade sugar, while maintaining five-star hygiene standards. They are made without preservatives and delivered in food-grade paper and safe packaging materials.

Regional Director Ashraf Chirakkal announced that a wide range of Christmas cakes in different flavours, along with attractive special offers, would be available at all Grand Mall outlets in Qatar ahead of the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

The cake mixing ceremony was led by Grand Mall Hypermarket General Manager Ajit Kumar, COO Harish, DGM Suraj and Area Manager Basheer Parappil. PR Manager Siddique, Finance Manager Anil Kumar, Marketing Manager Shamseer and Mall Manager Nawab were also present.
