ICBF conducts 52nd Free Medical Camp: Compassionate care for Qatar’s expat workers

The Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF), under the aegis of the Embassy of India, successfully organized its 52nd Free Medical Camp on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Imara HealthCare in Asian Town, Industrial Area, Doha. The event provided much-needed healthcare services including general consultations, ENT, orthopedics, dental, dermatology, and free medicines to a large number of underprivileged expatriate workers. Basic blood tests, BMI checks, and life support awareness sessions were also offered as part of the comprehensive camp. The initiative was supported by Welcare Pharmacy and facilitated by IPHAQ.

The medical camp was officially inaugurated by Mr. Sandeep Kumar, Deputy Chief of Mission, in the presence of Mr. Eish Singhal, First Secretary (Labour & Community Welfare), who is also the Chief Coordinating Officer of ICBF. ICBF President Mr. Shanavas Bava presided over the inaugural function. Mr. Deepak Shetty, General Secretary, welcomed the dignitaries and attendees, while Ms. Mini Siby, MC Member and In-Charge of the Medical Wing, delivered the vote of thanks. Health awareness sessions were led by Mr. Nizar Cheruvath, further enriching the educational aspect of the camp.

The event witnessed active participation and leadership from ICBF Secretary Mr. Jafar Thayyil and MC members Mr. Mani Bharathi, Mr. Irfan Ansari, Mr. Amar Veer Singh, Mr. Shankar Goud, and Ms. Neelambari. Imara HealthCare CEO Mr. Sumesh presented a bouquet to the guests as a gesture of appreciation and partnership in service. The collaboration with medical professionals and community health advocates ensured high-quality care for all the beneficiaries.

Prominent members from the Indian community and affiliated organizations graced the occasion, including ICBF Advisory Board Chairman Mr. Prasad Garu, Program Committee Chairman Mr. Varkey Boban, ISC President Mr. E.P. Abdul Rahman, ICC General Secretary Mr. Abraham Joseph, ICC Advisory Board Chairman Mr. P.N. Baburaj, and ICBF Advisory Board Member Mr. Satheesh Vilavil. Senior community leaders such as Mr. K.K. Usman, Mr. Hyder Chungathara, Mr. Mohan Kumar, Mr. Joppachan, Mr. Sadiq Chennadan, and Mr. Abdul Raoof Kondotty also attended, reflecting the unified community effort behind this noble mission.
