Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Football Association has unveiled the national squad for the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025, set to run from November 3 to 27 at Aspire Academy venues and Khalifa International Stadium. This year's tournament is historic, with 48 teams competing for the first time in a FIFA youth event, featuring 104 matches over 25 days.
Qatar will host five consecutive editions of the competition through 2029, as the event transitions to an annual fixture instead of being held biennially.
Drawn into Group A, Qatar will face Italy, South Africa, and Bolivia. Head coach Alvaro Meiia has named a 21-player squad, including goalkeepers Ahmed Saber, Khaled Shukri, and Abdulrahman Khalid. Key players such as Tamim Al Qadi, Adam Riyadh, Zaid Faisal, and Sultan Al Abdulrahman form part of the team. Qatar's campaign kicks off against Italy on November 3, followed by matches against South Africa on November 6 and Bolivia on November 9.
