Doha, Qatar: Visit Qatar, in collaboration with the Qatar Challenge Racing Club (Samla), has confirmed the return of the Samla International Race, scheduled to take place on January 23, 2027. The globally recognised endurance event is expected to attract both male and female athletes from across the world, once again highlighting Qatar’s growing profile in international sports.
Since its launch in 2017, the Samla Race has evolved into a major sporting highlight in the country’s calendar. Through its partnership, Visit Qatar continues to promote initiatives that enhance Qatar’s reputation as a leading destination for sports tourism and large-scale global events.
The race is known for its intense physical and mental challenges, covering a total distance of 100 kilometres within a 12-hour time limit. Participants compete across four disciplines - swimming, running, cycling, and kayaking - testing their endurance, strength, and adaptability across diverse terrains.
