Doha: Podar Pearl School has achieved remarkable success at the CBSE Qatar Cluster Basketball Championship 2026, held at Al Khor International School, securing three medals and earning recognition among the leading schools in the competition.
The championship brought together basketball teams from 14 Indian schools across Qatar, providing a competitive platform for young athletes. The Under-14 Boys Basketball Team emerged as Champions, securing the Gold Medal after an impressive campaign, reflecting exceptional teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. Adding to the school's success, the Under-14 Girls Team and Under-17 Girls Team both secured Bronze Medals, showcasing the depth of basketball talent at Podar Pearl School.
In the overall school standings, Podar Pearl
School secured third position in both the Boys' and Girls' categories among the
participating schools, marking another significant milestone for the school's
sporting programme.
Building on their performance, the Under-14
Boys Team will represent Podar Pearl School at the CBSE National Basketball
Championship 2026, scheduled from September 29 to October 6, 2026, in Bathinda,
Punjab, India. The school community expressed immense pride in its young
athletes, whose performance reflects the values of discipline, dedication,
teamwork, resilience, and sporting spirit. The success is also a testament to
the efforts of the coaches, physical education department, teachers, parents,
and the entire school community in nurturing young talent.
