Doha: Al-Sailiya Central Market is continuing its
operations smoothly with a steady supply of fruits and vegetables, while prices
remain stable, according to officials from the Ministry of Commerce and
Industry.
Authorities said the market currently has large
quantities of fresh produce arriving daily, ensuring that the needs of
residents are fully met. Both locally grown products and imported goods are
reaching the market regularly, keeping the supply chain active.
Officials also confirmed that prices are being
closely monitored. A daily price list is issued by the ministry, and traders
are required to follow the approved rates when selling their products.
Inspection teams are visiting the market
frequently to make sure vendors comply with the rules and maintain fair pricing
for consumers.
The ministry noted that central markets play an important role in maintaining the country’s food supply, adding that the steady flow of goods at Al-Sailiya Market reflects the stability of the food distribution system.
