Doha, Qatar: As of today, 15 September 2025, Qatar has officially lifted its midday work ban for outdoor workers. The Ministry of Labour announced that the summer restriction, which commenced on June 1, 2025, has concluded, allowing normal working hours to resume.
Both employers and workers are encouraged to continue following occupational safety and health guidelines.
This annual initiative, aimed at protecting workers from extreme summer heat, has effectively reduced the risks of heatstroke and exhaustion. During the ban, outdoor work was prohibited between 10 am and 3:30 pm.
