Doha, Qatar: Media City Qatar marked Qatar National Sport Day 2026 on February 10 with the delivery of the Esports Village and the launch of a new mobile game during the nationwide celebrations at Stadium 974, recognised by Guinness World Records as the ‘Largest Sports Arena (Temporary)’. The activation was delivered in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), and Visit Qatar, transforming the stadium into a dynamic sports destination.

The
Esports Village, managed by Media City Qatar’s licensed company SNRG, was one
of 13 official zones at Stadium 974. Designed as a technology-driven space, it
featured console gaming, virtual reality, arcade games, racing and cycling
simulators, and interactive challenges, offering visitors innovative ways to
engage in sport and physical activity.
On
the occasion, Media City Qatar also publicly launched “Khawi,” a new mobile
game developed by COREGAME Studios. Now available on the App Store and Google
Play, the game promotes movement, discipline, and teamwork by blending digital
entertainment with real-world physical engagement.
CEO Hamad Omar A Al Mannai said the initiatives highlight how media and technology can unite communities while supporting Qatar National Vision 2030. Media City Qatar noted that the activation builds on previous award-winning sports and cultural initiatives, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive, community-focused experiences aligned with national priorities.
