Qatar’s first-ever Lantern Festival to light up Al Bidda Park from 27 November 2025 to 28 March 2026

Doha, Qatar: Qatar to witness a breathtaking celebration of light, color, and culture as the Lantern Festival transforms Al Bidda Park into a glowing wonderland from November 27, 2025, to March 28, 2026.

Developed in collaboration with Haitian Culture, renowned creators of traditional lantern art, the festival promises an artistic spectacle. Known for their spectacular light exhibitions across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, Haitian Culture brings decades of craftsmanship and cultural storytelling, blending heritage with modern creativity.

Visitors can anticipate spectacular lantern displays, featuring handcrafted illuminated sculptures that depict animals, plants, and cultural icons across themed zones. The festival will also include a Family Fun Zone with inflatables, arcade games, and interactive entertainment for children, as well as an International Food Court offering a diverse range of global cuisines.

For a more exclusive experience, the Above the Clouds Lounge will offer luxury dining inspired by hot-air ballooning. Guests will enjoy bespoke fine dining in a chic balloon-basket-style setting, with panoramic views of the lantern exhibition.

Originating during China’s Western Han Dynasty (206 BCE - 25 CE), the Lantern Festival has evolved into a global art form that captivates audiences worldwide. This ancient tradition now finds a new home in Qatar, celebrating unity, renewal, and the shared joy that light brings to all.
