The Health Ministry in Gaza reported on Saturday that the death toll from the Israeli assault on the Strip has climbed to 70,100, with 170,983 people injured since the war began on October 7, 2023. In a recent statement, the ministry revealed that two bodies were brought to Gaza hospitals within the last 48 hours, including one newly killed individual and another whose remains were recovered, alongside 11 injured persons.

Since the cease-fire took effect in October, 354 people have been killed and 906 wounded, according to the ministry. Additionally, 606 bodies have been recovered during this period. The ministry further announced the addition of 299 names to its cumulative death toll after their information was verified and approved by the government committee responsible for certifying deaths between November 21 and 28.
