Doha: Aisha Bint Hamad Al Attiyah Hospital has introduced advanced cardiac catheterization laboratory services, expanding access to specialised heart care in Qatar.                                          

The newly launched facility includes two state-of-the-art catheterization laboratories equipped with advanced imaging systems designed to support accurate diagnosis and treatment of various heart conditions. The service enables doctors to perform minimally invasive procedures by guiding a thin catheter through blood vessels to the heart.                          

Patients undergoing the procedure will be closely monitored after treatment. Depending on their condition, they may either be discharged once stable or transferred to the Heart Hospital for further specialised care.   

The new service is supported by a multidisciplinary team comprising cardiologists, specialised nurses and cardiovascular technologists, working in line with established clinical standards to ensure patient safety and quality care. The introduction of the cardiac catheterization laboratories strengthens the hospital’s capacity to provide comprehensive cardiac services and improves access to advanced treatment within the healthcare network.
