Blood-soaked belongings from Minab accompany Iran delegation to Pakistan peace talks

An Iranian delegation led by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf carried symbolic reminders of war victims on a flight to Islamabad, as efforts to de-escalate tensions in West Asia continue. Blood-soaked school bags, shoes, white flowers, and photographs of children from Minab were placed in the front row of the aircraft, underscoring the human cost of the conflict.

Sharing an image on social media, Ghalibaf described the items as “my companions on this flight,” referring to the victims of the alleged strike. The delegation has been named “Minab 168,” in memory of the schoolchildren reportedly killed during the early phase of the conflict.

According to Iranian officials, the incident occurred on February 28 in Minab, southern Iran, where a girls’ primary school was allegedly hit during strikes linked to the ongoing war. Seyed Abbas Araghchi earlier condemned the attack, calling it a “cold-blooded” act and accusing those responsible of targeting civilians, including young students.

The Iranian delegation has arrived in Islamabad for high-level talks with US representatives, aimed at negotiating a ceasefire and easing regional tensions. The discussions are expected to focus on Iran’s proposed peace framework, with both sides under increasing international pressure to bring an end to the conflict.
