Dubai: The inaugural GCC Cup 2025, a pioneering international football tournament for Indian expatriates, has been in full swing since April 10th at the prestigious Dubai Police Club, and today (April 13th) marks the grand semi-finals and finals. Organized in association with the Dubai Sports Council and Positive Spirit, and powered by Power Group, the tournament carries a meaningful message: “Say No to Drugs – Yes to Games”, promoting a healthy, drug-free lifestyle through the spirit of competitive sports.
This
first edition features eight dynamic teams from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, UAE,
and Malta, with four teams representing the UAE. Over the past three days, the group
stage matches saw high-energy performances and sportsmanship from all sides,
with today’s final rounds expected to deliver a fitting climax to an exciting
football journey. The tournament has set a new benchmark for sports engagement
among Indian expatriates in the Gulf and beyond.
From Qatar, the QIFF Club has emerged as a strong contender, impressing fans and organizers alike with their skill, discipline, and team spirit.
