Doha, Qatar: Qatar has deeply condemned the decision by Israeli authorities to shut down six schools operated by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in East Jerusalem.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs described this action as a continuation of Israeli offenses in the occupied Palestinian territories, emphasizing the violation of children's right to education, which is safeguarded by international human rights laws.
The Ministry reiterated Qatar's opposition to the politicization of education and criticized attempts to undermine UNRWA's role.
