Doha,
Qatar: The Qatar Central Bank (QCB) has announced that Thursday, January 1,
2026, will be observed as an official holiday for all financial institutions in
the country.
In
a statement, QCB said that banks and other financial institutions will resume
normal operations on Sunday, January 4, 2026.
The decision is in accordance with Article (4) of Amiri Decree No. (57) of 2025, which specifies official working days, national occasions, and public holidays in the State of Qatar.
