Lekhwiya bans vehicles on beaches from Sealine to Inland Sea

The Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, has prohibited vehicles from driving along beaches stretching from Sealine to Inland Sea (Khor Al Adaid) to ensure the safety of beachgoers and protect the coastal environment.

The measure, implemented by Lekhwiya’s Environmental Security Group and the ministry’s Department of Natural Reserves, also requires vehicles to maintain a distance of at least 30 metres from the shoreline.

The offenders will face imprisonment and a fine up to QR100,000. The restrictions are part of efforts to enforce Law No. 19 of 2004 on the protection of wildlife and its natural habitats.
