The Ministry of Interior Qatar (MOI) has issued safety guidelines for motorists on how to respond if they hear an explosion while driving. The advisory was shared through a video on the ministry’s social media platforms to help ensure public safety.

Drivers are advised to slow down immediately and pull over to a safe area if they hear an explosion.

Safety instructions issued by MOI:

·       Slow down and pull over to the side of the road.

·       Stay away from bridges, power poles, and large trees.

·       If you are in an open area, remain inside your vehicle.

·       Turn off the engine and crouch down inside the vehicle, staying below the windows.

·       You may slightly open the windows to help equalize air pressure.

·       Wait a few minutes after the situation settles to ensure no debris is falling.

·       Carefully check your vehicle for any damage before continuing your journey.

The ministry also urged drivers to stay calm and react carefully, emphasizing that proper actions at the right moment are important for personal safety during such incidents.
