The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) announced on Saturday that a Qatari medical team has successfully treated 37 pediatric cases of hearing impairment and loss during their recent mission to the Kyrgyz Republic.
Conducted with the support of the Waqf Healthcare Fund, managed by Awqaf's General Department of Endowments, the initiative included 24 cochlear implant surgeries and three preparatory ear surgeries for children set to undergo cochlear implantation in the next mission.
Furthermore, 10 hearing aids were provided to children who did not require cochlear implants according to their medical assessments.
