Doha: Safari Group is all set to celebrate Qatar National Sports Day with an exciting lineup of sporting events across its outlets on February 10, bringing together fitness enthusiasts, competitors, and families for a day dedicated to health, strength, and community spirit.
The
star attraction of this year’s celebrations is the much-anticipated ‘Arm Wrestling Season-7’,
to be held at Safari
Mall, Abu Hamour. Now in its seventh edition, the arm wrestling
championship has earned a strong following over the years, with the previous
six seasons witnessing enthusiastic participation and packed crowds. The event
has steadily grown in popularity, especially among the expatriate community in
Qatar, drawing hundreds of spectators and competitors each season.
The
arm wrestling competition carries a total cash prize of QR 10,000 and will be conducted in two weight categories:

Category A: Below 80 kg
·
Category B: Above 80 kg
In each category, winners will be awarded:
·
1st Prize: QR 2,500
·
2nd Prize: QR 1,500
·
3rd Prize: QR 1,000
The competition is open to men aged 18 years and above,
and participants of all nationalities are welcome. Interested competitors
must register in person
at Safari Mall, Abu Hamour,
on February 10 between 4:00 PM and
5:00 PM, with the matches scheduled to begin at 5:00 PM.
Adding to the Sports Day excitement, Safari Group
is also organizing the popular ‘Hang On Balance’ competition across multiple locations.
This event will be held at Safari Mall (Abu Hamour), Safari Hypermarket (Al Khor),
Barakat Al Awamir,
and Ezdan Mall (Al Gharafa).
Running from 9:00
AM to 10:00 PM on February 10, winners will be rewarded with Safari gift vouchers.
