US President Donald Trump announced that he will meet with New York's mayor-elect, Zohran Mamdani, on Friday. The meeting, scheduled to take place in the Oval Office on November 21st, comes after Trump fiercely criticized the 34-year-old Democratic Socialist during his campaign, labeling him a "communist" on his Truth Social platform.

Dora Pekec, Mamdani's spokesperson, confirmed the upcoming meeting, stating, "As is customary for an incoming mayoral administration, the Mayor-elect plans to meet with the President in Washington to discuss public safety, economic security, and the affordability agenda that over one million New Yorkers voted for just two weeks ago."
