Tech billionaire Elon Musk has officially launched the “America Party,” aiming to challenge what he calls the U.S.’s “one-party system,” following a public fallout with President Donald Trump over the newly passed “One Big, Beautiful Bill.” Musk announced the move on social media, citing overwhelming public support from a poll he shared on Independence Day.
The
announcement marks an escalation in the feud between Musk and Trump, with Musk
criticizing the budget bill as a path to national bankruptcy. In response,
Trump hinted at revoking federal subsidies for Musk’s companies and even
suggested deporting the South African-born entrepreneur.
While the party’s potential impact on upcoming elections remains uncertain, Musk outlined a focused strategy targeting key House and Senate seats. Despite the challenges of breaking the two-party dominance, Musk vowed that the America Party would become a decisive force in U.S. politics.
