Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has lauded the efforts of Qatar, the United States, and Turkiye in reaching the Sharm El-Sheikh Agreement to end the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip. Speaking at the Sharm El Sheikh Peace Summit, President El Sisi expressed his support for the peace plan, emphasizing its potential to pave the way for a two-state solution, which he believes is crucial for the Palestinian and Israeli peoples to fulfill their aspirations for peace and security.
El Sisi extended his gratitude to the US, Turkiye, and Qatar for their sincere efforts, highlighting Egypt's commitment to the plan's implementation. He stressed the need for a political framework that allows both peoples to achieve their legitimate ambitions of self-determination and independence.
Jordan's King Abdullah II also highlighted the importance of the Gaza ceasefire in a post on the X platform, acknowledging it as a critical step towards ending the war and ensuring safety and aid for Gazans. He expressed gratitude to President Trump and the collaborative efforts of Egypt, Qatar, and Turkiye, reaffirming Jordan's ongoing support for Palestinian statehood.
Additionally, Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani for his role in the Gaza peace deal.
Libya's Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah welcomed the agreement, seeing it as a vital move towards alleviating the suffering of Palestinians and fostering regional stability. Dbeibah praised the constructive role played by US President, alongside the fruitful mediation efforts of Qatar, Egypt, and Turkiye, in achieving the agreement.
