M.E.S Indian School earns WORLDWIDE BOOK OF RECORDS for largest human Qatar flag

Doha, Qatar: M.E.S Indian School formally announced the official validation for the formation of the Largest Human Qatar Flag during a vibrant ceremony held at the school’s Conference Hall. The validation was issued by the Worldwide Book of Records, a registered organisation recognised for verifying and documenting exceptional human achievements across the globe.

Unveiling the validation case containing the certificate of authentication and a gold medal, B.M. Sidhique, President of the M.E.S Governing Board, congratulated the students and staff on the landmark achievement. He also expressed heartfelt appreciation to the parents for their constant support of the school’s initiatives, highlighting their role in the holistic development and success of the students.

The record-breaking formation was recently conducted on the school’s sprawling grass field, where 7,700 students and staff, dressed in coordinated white and maroon colours, came together to form the human Qatar flag. Arranged precisely in 140 rows and 55 columns with a spacing of 0.50 metres, the formation covered an area of 1,925 square metres, creating a lifelike and awe-inspiring image of Qatar’s national flag that reflected meticulous planning, discipline, and deep national pride.

The ceremony was attended by Directors and esteemed members of the M.E.S Governing Board, including Dr Hameeda Kadar, Principal of M.E.S Indian School, and Ms Pramila Kannan, Principal of M.E.S Abu Hamour Branch, along with school officials, teaching and non-teaching staff, and students. The programme featured a welcome address by Ms Fiona D’Cruz, a vote of thanks by Ms Rema Devi, and was coordinated by Mr Salim J Nadaf, Coordinator of the Department of Physical Education, and Mr Anver, Convener of the Cultural Committee, with the support of a dedicated team of teachers.
