Qatar has emerged victorious as the Favourite Cruise Destination at the prestigious 2025 Wave Awards, an esteemed event in the UK that celebrates excellence in the cruise and travel industry. The accolade was determined by votes from readers of World of Cruising magazine, alongside a comprehensive judging process held earlier this year at The Independent's headquarters in London, where a 40-member independent jury deliberated. Qatar outshone a competitive shortlist that included Norway, Barbados, Greece, Alaska, Antarctica, and the Canary Islands.

Omar Abdulrahman Al Jaber, Head of Tourism Development at Qatar Tourism, expressed that this recognition underscores Qatar's growing reputation as a premier global cruise destination, supported by the country's advanced infrastructure, rich cultural attractions, and exceptional visitor experiences.
