14 Arab and Islamic nations condemn US envoy’s remarks on Israel’s control over Arab lands

Doha: Fourteen Arab and Islamic countries, along with the secretariats of the Gulf Cooperation Council, the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, have strongly criticized remarks made by the United States Ambassador to Israel regarding Israel’s control over territories belonging to Arab states.

In a joint statement, the countries expressed deep concern over comments that appeared to endorse Israeli control over occupied Arab lands, including the West Bank. They described the remarks as irresponsible and said such statements undermine international law and threaten regional stability.

The signatories reaffirmed their firm rejection of any attempt to legitimize the occupation of Arab territories. They stressed that sovereignty over these lands remains non-negotiable and must be resolved through recognized international frameworks.

The statement also called for respect for the territorial integrity of all nations in the region and urged renewed efforts to reach a comprehensive and lasting peace based on established international resolutions.

The coordinated response highlights growing diplomatic sensitivity surrounding recent developments and the broader political situation in the Middle East.
