Amir of Qatar awarded Prince Nayef Medal for Arab Security of the Excellent Class

Doha, Qatar: The Amir, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, has been awarded the prestigious Prince Nayef Medal for Arab Security of the Excellent Class. This honor recognizes His Highness's visionary leadership in fostering security and stability, contributing significantly to development and prosperity in the region. It also highlights his unwavering commitment to supporting joint Arab security efforts and the State of Qatar’s exceptional success in hosting a secure and globally celebrated FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, while promoting Arab and Islamic cultural values.


On behalf of HH the Amir, the Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, accepted the award. The medal was presented by the Secretary-General of the Arab Interior Ministers Council, Dr. Mohammed bin Ali Koman, during a meeting held on Sunday. The award ceremony reflected the admiration of Arab nations for Qatar’s contributions to enhancing collective security and cultural pride.


The decision to bestow this prestigious medal on HH the Amir was made during the 40th Arab Interior Ministers Council, held in the Republic of Tunisia. Their Highnesses and Excellencies, the Arab Interior Ministers, collectively acknowledged Qatar's significant role in achieving regional security milestones. The honor underscores the nation's exemplary achievements and steadfast efforts to uphold security, stability, and cultural heritage across the Arab world.
