Doha: Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani marked Qatar Environment Day by calling for stronger efforts to safeguard the country’s natural resources and preserve its rich biodiversity.

In a message posted on his official social media platform, His Highness emphasised the importance of striking a careful balance between Qatar’s ongoing development projects and its long-term sustainability objectives.

“On Qatar Environment Day, we recall the great importance of protecting our natural resources and preserving our biodiversity in a way that achieves a balance between our development plans and the sustainability we seek,” the Amir stated.

He also encouraged citizens and residents to take an active role in environmental protection, noting that safeguarding the environment directly contributes to public health, ecological stability and overall quality of life.
