New Delhi: Congress
leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday strongly condemned the killing of five
Al Jazeera journalists in an Israeli strike, describing it as “cold-blooded
murder” and a “heinous crime.” Her remarks came amid mounting international
outrage over the incident, which has drawn sharp criticism from media and human
rights groups worldwide.
Taking
to X, Priyanka wrote, “The cold-blooded murder of five Al Jazeera journalists
is yet another heinous crime committed on Palestinian soil.” She lauded the
courage of the slain reporters, saying their dedication to truth could not be
broken by “the violence and hatred of the Israeli state.”
“In a world where much of the media is enslaved to power and commerce, these brave souls reminded us of what true journalism is,” she added, paying tribute to their sacrifice and commitment to reporting under dangerous conditions.
