Doha, Qatar: The Qatari capital of Doha has ascended into the upper echelon of global smart cities, securing the 33rd spot among 146 cities worldwide in the 2025 edition of the IMD Smart City Index, compiled by IMD's World Competitiveness Centre. Notably, Doha is the third-highest ranked city in its region.
The index evaluates cities based on infrastructure and digital services, emphasizing their impact on daily life, including residents' perceptions of health and safety, mobility, activities, opportunities, and governance.
