Doha, Qatar: The inaugural Fishing Exhibition officially opened its doors at Old Doha Port, marking a dynamic new platform for maritime culture, fishing enthusiasts, and sea adventurers in Qatar. Running from April 9 to April 12, the four-day event features a vibrant blend of traditional seafaring heritage and modern fishing innovations, open to the public daily from 4 PM to 9 PM at Mina Park, south of Mina District.


Hosted by Old Doha Port and inaugurated by its CEO Eng. Mohammed Abdullah Al Mulla, the event features over 30 exhibitors and more than 150 local and regional brands, positioning itself as a leading annual destination for sea lovers. Eng. Al Mulla emphasized the port’s commitment to marine tourism and cultural heritage, noting that the exhibition aims to transform the port into a vibrant hub for community engagement, sea sports, and maritime celebrations.


Visitors can look forward to live fishing competitions, artistic performances, interactive experiences, and prizes exceeding QR 300,000. The exhibition also offers traditional Qatari cuisine and showcases ancient maritime crafts, enriching public appreciation for Qatar’s deep-rooted connection to the sea. Coinciding with the start of the fishing season, the event is set to become a cornerstone in the country’s marine events calendar.
