Doha, Qatar: The highly anticipated annual festival of purebred Arabian camel racing on the sword of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, is set to commence on Today, April 1, 2025. Taking place at the Al Shahaniya and Lebseer racetracks, this 15-day event will continue until April 15, showcasing a wider participation from riders across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.

The opening day will be hosted at the Al Shahaniya Camel Racetrack, featuring 19 races over a 4-kilometer stretch. The morning session alone will see 19 races, with 11 taking place in the early hours.

The organising committee has confirmed that all preparations have been completed for this prestigious event, considered the flagship festival in the Gulf region. It further reported that all sub-committees have successfully met their responsibilities in organizing this premier event for enthusiasts of the traditional sport.
