Doha, Qatar: The General Manager of the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara), Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, inaugurated the Qatar History and Identity exhibition today, a collaborative effort between Katara and the Qatar Preparatory School for Girls. The event was attended by several ambassadors accredited to the State of Qatar and various stakeholders in cultural and educational affairs.
Running until Thursday at the Creative Square, located between buildings 15 and 16, the exhibition features an impressive collection of 63 artworks crafted by students from 30 schools, all reflecting the rich heritage and national identity of Qatar.
In his opening speech, Dr. Al Sulaiti emphasized Katara's commitment to nurturing school talents and the importance of encouraging students to express their connection to their homeland through artistic endeavors. He praised the exhibition's role in raising awareness of Qatari history and fostering a sense of national pride among younger generations.
Dr. Al Sulaiti also highlighted the successful partnership between Katara and educational institutions in promoting cultural and educational initiatives. The exhibition offers a unique opportunity for visitors to explore the creativity of students and gain insights into their artistic interpretations of Qatari heritage, all within a vibrant celebration of culture, art, and creativity.
