Iranian Supreme Leader vows to teach U.S. "unforgettable lessons" amid renewed hostilities

Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei vowed to deliver "unforgettable lessons" to the United States as tensions escalated on Saturday, July 18, 2026. Khamenei criticized the U.S. for its continued attacks despite a framework deal aimed at ending the conflict, asserting that these actions render former President Donald Trump's signature "worthless."

In a statement broadcasted by state TV, Khamenei declared, "Now that the American enemy seeks to incite war and bear its most serious consequences, it should know that the dear Iranian nation and the axis of resistance have unforgettable lessons to offer it."

Amid these rising tensions, Iran targeted infrastructure in the Gulf and threatened a "full-scale offensive" in response to the seventh consecutive night of U.S. airstrikes on the Islamic Republic.
