Al Khor, Qatar – The KMCC Qatar Al Khor Area Committee, in collaboration with its Women's Wing, organized a vibrant and socially significant community fasting festival titled "Mousim Al Khair 2025" at the Al Khor National Kindergarten School. The event stood out for its enthusiastic participation, especially from women, reinforcing the spirit of unity and social responsibility during the holy month of Ramadan.
The
public meeting was officially inaugurated by KMCC State Committee General
Secretary Salim Nalakath, who paid heartfelt tribute to the late State Senior
Vice President K. Muhammad Isa, remembering his legacy and contributions to the
community. The event also featured a key awareness session on drug abuse
prevention, delivered by renowned consultant psychologist Hanifa Hudawi. A
soulful Ramadan speech was presented by motivational speaker Hakeem Hudawi,
inspiring the audience with messages of faith, compassion, and community
service.
A
highlight of the evening was the symbolic oath-taking ceremony by volunteers,
pledging their commitment to eradicating drug abuse from society. This powerful
gesture added a meaningful layer to the Iftar gathering, transforming it into
more than just a communal meal—into a platform for positive change. The event
successfully merged spirituality with social activism, drawing praise from
attendees.
The program witnessed the active presence of several community leaders, organization representatives, and social workers. The organizing team included Hamza Ulliath, Siddique V, Shamsuddin Chemban, Prashant Kottakkal, Abdul Rahman Chelari, Abdul Aziz Kanachery, Abdul Razak, Nuruddin, Murshid, Afzal Hamza, Ilyas Kunjimon, and Firoz. Women leaders like Dr. Nisha Fatima Shamsuddin, Naushiba Shafi, Laila Hamza, Rafneeta Ashkar, Subina Latif, Mehrunnisa Basheer, Najma Nuruddin, Fasalu Mujeeb, Tasneem Nissam, and Shamlat Basheer also played key roles in making the event a resounding success.
